Tottenham and Schalke in Vincent Janssen loan talks

Vincent Janssen has not featured for Mauricio Pochettino's side this season
Schalke are in talks with Tottenham over a loan move for striker Vincent Janssen, according to Sky sources.
Real Betis had also been keen on a deal for the out-of-favour player, but a move to the La Liga club looks increasingly unlikely, while Burnley, Cardiff and an unnamed French club have also shown interest.
Cardiff would be unable to loan Janssen as they already have the maximum of two loan signings in their squad (Harry Arter and Oumar Niasse) so any deal with them would have to be a permanent one.
The Netherlands international, who joined Spurs from AZ Alkmaar on a four-year contract in 2016 for a fee believed to be £18.6m, is understood to now be valued at around £15m.
Janssen has not featured for Tottenham's first team this season and is considered to be surplus to requirements despite the injury to Harry Kane.
In Kane's absence, Mauricio Pochettino has turned to Fernando Llorente to lead their attack, with 20-year-old striker Kazaiah Sterling also handed a place on the bench ahead of Janssen for their FA Cup defeat against Crystal Palace on Sunday.
